There is something comforting about ending the day with a warm drink.

This Easy Golden Milk is creamy, gently spiced, and wonderfully cosy. Made with coconut milk, turmeric, ginger, and warming spices, it's the perfect recipe for quiet evenings, slow mornings, or whenever you feel like taking a moment to pause.

It's simple to make and comes together in just a few minutes.

Serves 1

Ingredients

  • ½ cup coconut milk (or oat milk or almond milk)

  • 1 tsp turmeric or curcumin powder

  • 1 small piece fresh ginger, grated

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • ½ tsp cardamom

  • 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 tsp raw honey or maple syrup

Optional Matcha Version

For a different twist, add:

  • 1 tsp matcha powder

  • 2 dl hot water

Method

  1. Add the coconut milk, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper, and honey to a small saucepan.

  2. Heat gently over low to medium heat.

  3. Stir continuously until the ingredients are well combined and the milk is warm.

There is no need to boil it.

  4. Pour into your favourite mug and serve warm.

For the Matcha Version

  1. Add the matcha powder and hot water to the saucepan together with the other ingredients.

  2. Stir or whisk until smooth.

  3. Warm gently and serve.

Nina's Tip

For an extra creamy texture, blend the finished drink for a few seconds using a milk frother or hand blender before serving.
