This powerful Indonesian all natural, anti-inflammatory elixir is healing and soothing.
It`s ingredients with herbal root infusion seem to work wonders when it comes to healing the body.
5 dl water
50 g fresh ginger
1 tbsp curcumin powder (or 80 g fresh turmeric root)
½ lime squeezed
1 tbsp maple syrup
Get a casserole.
Slice the ginger into slices.
Squeeze the lime.
Add all the ingredients into to casserole and stir.
Bring it to a boil, lower the heat and let it simmer under a lid for 10 – 20 min.
Let the mixture cool down.
Get a clean glass with lid, pour the mixture into the glass using a colander.
When completely cool, store about 1 week in the fridge.
Recommended amount a day is ½ dl. Or just a shot glass. It can be served cold or warm.
When served warm it feels soothing to a sore throat, and it can calm colds.
